Dementia

I’m really pleased to have raised some much needed funds for Dementia UK with our ‘Time for a Cuppa’ tea party today.

Currently there are an estimated 800,000 people diagnosed with dementia in the UK. This means there is a 1 in 7000 chance of families affected by dementia having access to an Admiral Nurse Service, funded by Dementia UK.

Sadly my dad and us as his family never had access to an Admiral Nurse, but I’m hugely supportive of their role and delighted to have hosted our first ever ‘Time for a Cuppa’ tea party, which proved to be a great way to get together with friends and family, have fun, enjoy some delicious tea and cake and raise funds for a very worthy cause.
