Delighted to have been involved in the 24th Alzheimer Europe Conference held in Glasgow.

I co-presented with one of my consultancy clients, Emma Killick of MacIntyre, on 21 October 2014 in Parallel Session P11: Dementia and intellectual disability. Emma and I presented on ‘Meeting the challenge of dementia amongst an ageing learning disability population – a providers story’, in a session that marks the first time learning disabilities (intellectual disabilities) have been on the programme of an Alzheimer Europe conference.

On 22 October 2014 I presented my own abstract, ‘End-of-life care: A very personal story’ in Parallel Session P22: Palliative care. I was honoured to receive a standing ovation from the audience.
