Today the ‘Dementia Words Matter’ Call to Action has been launched at the Quarterly DAA Meeting. The Call to Action, being made in association with DEEP (Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project), calls upon those who sign up to ‘Check’, ‘Change’ and ‘Challenge’ the words they and their organisation use when talking about dementia.

As a National Member of the Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) I have signed up to the Call to Action, and would urge others to do likewise. Anyone can sign up – you don’t need to be a DAA member.
